Gas War...

Several stations in Hattiesburg, Ms are having a gas war. Regular was $2.75 gal and premium was $2.99 yesterday morning when I was there. I talked to a friend that came thru there that afternoon and he said it was at $2.65 for regular !! So, if your around Hattiesburg check out the Kash King(lowest $),Stuckeys, and Amoco at Hwy49 and I-59.

I am in Northern Il and it has been steadily going down but still room for lots more falling. Right now it is $3.49. I seen in Springfield MO. that it is $2.67. I am headed to Ky lake next week and hope gas keeps going down. 435 mile trip one way plus boat has 40 gal tank. Won't be a cheap vacation. But it'll still be fun.

I remember the gas wars in Kansas in 1968. Gas was 15 cents and twenty cents a gallon! Today it is just gas gouging.

I can remember working weekends at a station during the wars. We were battling the station across the street. Our low price was 12.9 per gallon.

I went to my dad's house yesterday at 3:00pm, gas was $3.04 a gallon. Left his house at 8:00 pm and gas was $2.98 a gallon. In northern kentucky where I live, it was $3.19 a gallon this am.

I live in Kansas, but i work in Missouri. In Kansas it's $2.86 a gallon, and in Missouri it's $2.68 a gallon.

In Chattanooga it is $3.87 outside of town it is $3.18, go figure.
