    Default Scales?

This has been discussed before but I don't remember the outcome? My Rapala scales stink. Whats the best, resonably priced of course.

What scale do you have that you don't like? I was thinking of picking up one of these from Bass pro. $6.88

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I have a Berkley 20 lb. that I was using. I have found that it weighs about 20% shy on crappieup to 2=1/4 lb. I have since gone to another scale that is very accurate. Here is the previous post regarding scales.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------No name on it,except in some foriegn language. NSPRA. A friend has been using one since last fall in tournaments. It is not waterproof . He swears it is just as accurate as culmrite at a fraction on the price. I don't have a culmrite but he does. Once I found the Berkley would not weight the same every time 1.2 then 1.3 then 1.1, I couldn't trust it as a culling system. This unit is working but I have only used it in one tournament. It was my avoidance of spending $200.00.

I ordered one a couple days ago. You can't beat digital for that price waterproof or not. If anyone cares, when I get it all let you know how it does.

Hey Bill, I was at BPS Saturday and picked up one of the scales I posted about up top. It was $6.88. I brought it to work today and checked it with precision weights from 3oz to 4.5 lbs. It was never more than 1.5 ounces and most of the time is was less than 1 oz off. Not bad for $7.

It takes just an extra second to settle on the weight, so I an interested to see how that works with a flopping fish.

When I get mine and if I can find a weight I will say how accurate it is too. I figure for 7 bucks I can always send it back it it sucks. I needed a scale bad anyway. I just hope it does not let me down when I really need it.
