I anchor or tie up about 25% of the time. The rest of the time I am trolling jigs or minnows.

    Default anchor

Dont like anchor if in open water around stake beds or brush piles because anchors hang in them and people move or mess up beds.

    I usually drag a chain:D:p JUST KIDDING

It depends on if there is something to tie to. I would rather tie to something if at all possible.

My boat is equipped with "Anchor Reins" on 4 corners. They are 40' of anchor rope on a Reel which is mounted beneath the deck. The only thing above deck is a wing nut tightning device and the end of the rope with a ball on the end to keep the line from rewinding completely. These are very handy for attaching anchors or tying up. You don't have four coils of 40' of line to trip over. I keep one or two anchors in my rod locker. Can someone tell me how to attach a link such as from Basspro or Cabelas?

What's an anchor for ? We just drop a bouy to mark our brushpile and hold in place with a trolling motor. We can pick apart the cover moving around over the brushpile or condo.

Our local lake has plenty of places to tie up. I have an anchor on board but never had to use it.

I rarely anchor, mostly use the trolling motor or just tie off on the structure I'm fishing.

In open water I drop anchor about 150 feet upwind and drift back to the spot. If there are stick-ups I tie off to those.
