    Default Terrible boat operators

Yesterday I was idoling the boat across lake seminole while I ate a sandwich. I was not in a boat channel. Suddenly, I saw a flash right next to the boat. Turns out that a fool in a bass boat passed me wide open. He could not have been more than 12 feet from my boat. 12 feet.
I put the pedel to the medal and managed to catch him. We had a few friendly words. Turns out his fishing buddy was shocked that he had passed me so close. Some people just don't think clearly.

i have had several runs ins with crusiers and bass boats this year. The creek i fish is off Wilson lake and it gets pretty narrow at times. I have tried to make sure i power down and idle past people that are fishing. Maybe it will catch on.

It's sad to say, but I've concluded that some have it in'em............some never will.

It sure is not what it use to be. I rember a time when a man in a 14' jon w/ a 15hp motor would come off plan and idol by now day folks will come by you running 60+ and not even throw his hand up while he's washing you out on the bank. One of 3 thing either there daddy never taught them any better, they don't respect his teaching or they just don't have enough sense to figure it out on there own.

Hey if they run that close in Oklahoma I was told buy the lake patrol to put a 5oz weight and a 4inch treble hook on 30 lb test and drop it in their boat with them and if there is any trouble with attitudes after they will haul thier butz in with a decent fine.So I keep one rigged up laying in the boat just in case. Most of the time you only have to show it to a skier one time to get the hint.

    Well,

I had rather them go by fast than have them plow by, thinking they are being courteous. MHO

The biggest problem that I see is.....half of them are " fisherman " .....you would think they, of all people, would know better !!!
