Default Broke 10'' off the tip of my BnM Black Widow

I broke the tip plus 10'' off one of my BnM Black Widow 13' telescoping poles. My question is if I fix it, will it still be as good as it was as. Or should I just chunk it and buy another? And I don't think BnM will cover me being stupid and not watching where I put my feet.

oops ....dang it ....... I think you can order new ends from BnM can't you ? I'd think you could just replace the broken section and be good as new , then again , cost of an end + shipping , you could probably buy a new one from Wally World and be no worse for the wear !!

if it's a telescoping pole you may be better off just getting a new one.. I have one of their telescoping poles that I won at a tournament as a door prize. I have not used it yet but will put it to the test this year for sure. It's just that I prefer using my Richard Williams Signature series Crappie Wizzard Poles right now.

How do you use the JB Weld? Inside, outside, all over?

I trimmed the rod so they fit snug then I put it inside the big end and outside the small end. Then slip the small end inside the big end. Cover that with JB too. I put 1" long JB around the joint.. hope this helps.

The pole will obviously be stiffer if you simply replace the eyelet where the section was broken. Yes, we do offer a replacement, but due to the low price point of the BW, it really isn't financially feasible to order a replacement section ($5 for the section, $4.50 shipping).

I would offer two suggestions. 1. Buy another pole, and keep the old one around for replacement parts. 2. If you need any other product from us, order a replacement section for the BW with the other stuff you need.

    Hope this helps!

or for $5 - charge shipping for a replacement and call the replacement cost to you, customer service.
You just told me to expect failures from the product ("If you need any other product from us, order a replacement section for the BW with the other stuff you need."). Call me ignorant, but that just sent me to the competition.

Of all the fly rod sections I've broken, not one company has ever charged for a replacement section - even when it was my fault and I expected a bill. That's the kind of customer service that produces customer loyalty.
Telling someone to buy a complete rod because you won't absorb a $5 (retail - not even cost), replacement section is ludicrous.

    Stepping down from soapbox.
