Unless we are fishing extremely shallow we only use 1/4 oz. Bighead Jigs with the #4 hooks. This is the only way they come with I think 5 color choices.
They are deadly! Give 'em a try! www.Bigheadjigs.com

All bighead jigs are out of stock! I tried to contact the company but have heard nothing back.

This thread's eleven years old. Maybe they went out of business. After all, there was a financial meltdown in 2008.

I also pour my own and use #6 and #4 on 1/32 and 1/16. In cover I use the smaller and get hung much less, and I use sickle exclusively. I have #10 to #1 that I use for different applications. Hit up Bugman at Simply Crappie if you need some, he also makes whatever you may need.

I purchased some 1/8 jig heads off EBay with some #1 short shank hooks. They should hang up in brush less but I need to check and see if they will effect my hookup ratio.
