    Default Mom broke her leg

I haven't mentioned it because things have been so nuts, and I wasn't sure I was going to say anything about it at all, but the more prayer the better.

Mom was making some soup in the kitchen day before yesterday and she dropped some fat on the floor and stepped on it. She slipped very hard and broke her leg very badly just above her ankle. We already have had work done with an excellent orthopedic surgical group in Erie PA. We got her there right away and yesterday they bolted and plated her all back together. Mom is 77 and overweight and doesn't like to exercise because it hurts her feet, but otherwise is in excellent health. She is now off morphine and the IV and as I type they are moving her to the rehab floor already.

My mom is very special and well loved and has hundreds of people praying for her all over the world, but I think I'd like some anglers prayers as well if you all don't mind. Please pray for her to heal quickly without pain, for her to regain her strength and independence, and for the motivation for her to work to get her legs strong again.

    Thank you all - GRIZZ

Grizz, sorry to hear about your mom. Do whatever it takes and put up with ALL her whining cause being 78 years old she's earned the right to whine when she wants to. I still have my dad but I lost my mom to cancer when I was only 19 years old and I envy you guys that still have yours you can wait on when she asks. Here's hoping the best and the quickest recovery with the least amount of pain in rehab for her bud!

Oh don't worry about that. She is going to get spoiled rotten once she gets to my sisters. She has 5 kids who all thinks she walks on water, so she isn't ever going to lack for attention. Wish you all could have a mom as excellent as mine. I'm blessed. Rule #1 Love God - Rule #2 Love your mom - Rule #3 Love fishing and take your mom with ya.

Bow - Mom is tough and never whines about pain or physical stuff. Sometimes we wish she would more.

    Thanks guys
