Good luck tomorrow Eric. I’m having my implant revised later this year, all new components except the metal. Therapy is the most important part of the whole deal IMHO.

Not just the PT at the clinic, but the PT at home too! That's the part I had a hard time getting Ms Joyce to stay on top of. I've been doing what I call the foot slides, Leg lifts and working the ankle to TRY to keep muscle tone prior to surgery. Supposed to help post-surgery. I'll find out soon enough. Thank you everyone for the well wishes and prayers.

Everything went well this morning. Operation to being in the room was a tad bit over 4 hrs. Ms Joyce said she only got a couple hours of sleep, so I sent her home to get some sleep. Already moving my feet and able to do leg lifts. Had a small snack so the nursing staff can judge my tolerance to food. Everything AOK on my end. Nurse and assistant really interested in Crappie.Com, so will show as well tell them about the site. May be getting a few new members...
Want to thank everyone for the well wishes, words of encouragement, as well as the prayers. GOD IS GREAT!!! So you all get to put up with me a bit longer, lol. Thanks everyone.Pic is shortly after getting to my room. Tight lines everyone...

The back blocker has worn off...pain level about a 9. Been up walking around with PT in the room already, yeah!!!.out of the paper insulated gown and back in my street clothes, shorts and T shirt. Sitting up in the recliner for a bit too. My view of lake is blocked a bit by the tree, but I can see it at any rate...

Thank you everyone. As expected, when the spinal block wore off, my knee felt like it was it on both sides by a couple 20lb pledges at the same time. Ooooch!!! Been up and walked a bit around the room with supervisor, Nurse right there with a safety belt around my chest. BEEN doing the ankle exercises, leg lifts, and can bend my knee moving my foot about 12 inches...also foot slides to bend knee, and the lightning of the glutamus maximus.
PT just took me down the hall to explain the getting in and out of the car, tub, and going up a single step with the walker. Have to do the exercises every hour as well as walk every hour for no more than 5 min. Already have my leg straight tp 5* and bent to a tad over 90* sitting on the edge of the bed. All of which is better than average. The dr.'s PA said the old knee was tore up from the ground up..
Will be going home today...woohoo!!!
