    Default Purdy one

Went in with a nuclear chart split tail , not all that productive ....
tried a golden child for a bit as well , similar result ....
went down with something "purdy" and commenced to KABOOM ....
mind you this about that , all 3 items that got wet had very different profiles ...
so to be very sure it might not have had a thing to do with color ....
    or maybe it did ?
.... only the crappie could tell you for sure ...
in the end I lost my purdy jig to something stationary on the bottom and only managed to ketch 30 fish or so on my lunch break and 5 of them fish were darn yella bass
one thing that I noticed worthy of mention is this ....
a small yella bass pulls way harder than a medium size white crappie
and a medium size black crappie pulls harder than both the yella and the white ...
AND it aint the size of the hook that matters , its the angler on the other end and his or her ability to understand how to ketch a nice size lip hooked crappie ....the ever so slightest of anything related to not full force hammer it to the hand will often result in the loss of a crappie that ain't bone hooked ...
play gently if you like , but to be very sure you will lose a fair number of them that are hooked like the one in the image if you do so .....
so yet again KABOOM is the word on my lunch time travels ....

seen nimrod say they been nipping at his jigs , he must have the same strain as us , the bestest fish of that visit just pecked at the jig like bream too , very few thumpers in the mix for darn sure , slack line season and pecking is in the recipe .

Well you do have a healing shoulder helping to refine your finesse fishing technique. Fishing with braid the way I do I most likely would never got a glimpse much less boat that fish, well done.

braid can sure rip em , this is fact , one of the other reasons I am the mono king ,me needs some stretch time , been known to set the hook like one of the pro bass fellas is my native american name .....
my shoulder issue isnt what some think it was , they filleted me across the shoulder blade , said a tiny lil spot was bad one and took about a pound a flesh off to make sure , gave me a great grizzly bear survivor scar for sure and it's tight as heck now , no more lose old man skin on that shoulder blade for sure ,,,,,heck it might even be something folks need to get done to get back in the swing and sling thing again like when ya was a young one ......
strung up like fresh fiddle by golly is me , never tighter ....
let the KABOOM ing commence ......

They do bite different at times for sure . Love it when they thump it and you have to go deep for your hook . Those days where they seem to peck or just pick it up not so good . Yesterday many strikes were so light never felt anything . See them move on bait on livescope and pull your line and it was in their mouth .
Bend your hook point out just a little seems to help . Those sickles seem to be turned in and hook ups better if hook point is bent out about 5 degrees . IMO
