I used pink foam board between my ribs then riveted a sheet of aluminum for the flooring. Then used self adhesive hydro turf. That was like 10 years ago and still holding up no problem. Walk around barefoot. I have a thread on my build somewhere here I believe.

I have a fiberglass skiff and bought some outdoor carpet off EBAY. I cut around the seat bases and was able to lay it out in one piece. The weight of my gas tank and trolling motor batteries keeps it in place without having to use any adhesive.
