Default Can't Get Film Off my Electronics!

I have only ever used Windex with Vinegar, (no ammonia), and MAD Glass Cleaner on my Garmin electronics. I want to put some glass protectors on as I've already had a few close calls with egg sinkers flying around. But, I can't get rid of this film on my electronics. I can take my finger, even after cleaning, and smear this film around.
I want to be really careful what I use but I'm open to any suggestions as to what to use. I really want them crystal clear and clean before I apply the glass protectors.

I use a good glass cleaner (no ammonia) or a mixture of water & vinegar.

I use it too but I keep smearing around a film that produces a glare in the sun.

Are you using a clean microfiber cloth? Try drying with a separate one? I haven’t had any issues with mine.

I wonder if it's the brand of microfiber clothes I'm using.

Could be. Could always try a cloth meant for cleaning rifle scope lenses

You sure the "film" is from the screen, or could it be oil from your skin that you're smearing on the screen ??

I've used several in the past with varying results, but I've been using BBS Sonar Screen Cleaner for years now, and it keeps all my electronics clean. Best I've ever used. I also use with a clean eyeglasses microfiber cloth or a riflescope cleaning microfiber cloth. I make sure I clean them regularly. BBS Sonar Screen Cleaner

You're not supposed to use a standard window cleaner on any electronic screens. It removes the protective film made into the screens. Vinegar is an acid.
As another thought, are you using Slab Sauce in the spray bottle? The fine mist really floats everywhere.
