Default Getting your thump on .

Took a quick trip this morning . Using same Takeum black/purple hand tied jig on a Stryker rod by Todd Huckabee designed by Jerry Hancock. Light and yet tough enough to swing em in . Fished sunken wood in shallow water . The Crappie were hitting light so I lost several at the surface . Kept a limit and released half that many more . Got my fix so I can leave the lakes to the yahoos this holiday .

I was asked what one weighed so I took the light weight reel off , then used my fishing scales . It is 11.5' jig pole and my scales showed .50 lbs or 8 oz . I boat flip my fish cause I never carry a net . I am sold on the Stryker designed by Jerry Hancock . Look for them on Power Crappie / Todd Huckabee website. I love mine, having Carpel Tunnel makes it tough livescoping using the longer rods .

Good batch of fish. Best idea was leaving the lake to the holiday crowd. Enjoy dinner.
