    I thought you wanted them to bite your bait & not your swivel like most of us do.

    I would much prefer that to happen. Sometimes I can raise the bait to the fish and it will eat. More often than not , the
    fish will not accept the " bait and switch " method. If I can determine these fish are undersized or are not crappie, I can stop
    worrying about them.
