Default Stryker rod / Takeum Jigs

Went this morning and seen so many just swim up and look but just turn away. Fishing 14 to 15' of water . I seen bite pick up when clouds covered the sun. I was pitching Takeum 1/8 oz hand tied but added a big split shot to speed up fall cause they were deep and moving . I called a fishing buddy and he drove over and caught a few . He uses a Ozark rod and noticed I was still using the Huckabee Rod designed by Jerry Hancock called Stryker . Why was I using it ? I told him to hold it . He was amazed how light it was . Even with most turning their nose up to a jig we kept 2 limits and released several more . I think water was too clear as minnow fishermen doing good

I often wonder since I rarely scope , just how many look and don't touch , but the good news is I ALWAYS assume its a large number of them and I just ain't dialed in as to what they want to see , congrats and KABOOM
