Home Lake and years you fished there ?

What is your so called home lake and how many years have you fished there ? Mine is Nimrod in west-central Arkansas .I have been fishing it over 50 years . Fished it a few times before moving there in summer of 1972. Figure I logged more hours on this lake and woods around it more than anyone still alive . Spent countless hours fishing here with fishing poles , trotlines, yoyos and nets . Hunted around it's shores and rode ATV all over the woods and on the lake bed during drawdowns . Spent thousands of hours building stakebeds and brushpiles .

Lake cumberland but didn't start crappie fishing until last year. Bass & striper fished,squirrell hunted, coonhunted, deer hunted all over it since i was a young boy.About 50 years here too.

Grenada lake… born and raised so I am 34 and have memories of fishing it since I was a child my grandfather commercial fished it and my dad and all my uncles crappie fished it!

Lake Martin. 51 years. I remember going telephoning at six years old with some of the neighborhood men , they would make me hold the telephone wires to test it if I wanted to go with them. Lol. I peed on my self one day the telephone was so strong. I just shook while they laughed cranking the telephone. DHR would get them nowadays. But getting back on point. We lived in a mill village one neighbor had a truck, one had the boat and another had the motor. It was a group effort. They all worked in the mill drank beer in afternoons and either fished or played dominoes. My mom broke up the electrocution attempts when she caught them making me hold a lawnmower spark plug wire one day. That didn’t end well for them. But I’ve been by this lake since 1965 fishing off and on since 1971 with much success. The old men were hard on me but taught me a lot of life lessons. Be quite on boat or get left at home.

My “home” lake is Beulah Crevasse but no longer a member of MHC and can’t fish it so I fish the main lake of Lake Beulah. Also fish lake Whittington a few times a year during summer.

Guess I'd have to say that Herrington Lake is my "home" lake, since I've been fishing there for over 65yrs .... mostly for Crappie, but occasionally for other species. I just don't fish there with as much regularity as in the past. I've been going mostly to Taylorsville Lake since it opened back in 1983. But, as of last year, I've spent more time at Green River Lake, and will likely continue to do so.

Here's what I'm faced with :

Herrington Lake - 45min drive, $20 launch fee, no size limit on Crappie (no cleaning stations)
Taylorsville Lake - 1.5hr drive, no launch fee, 10" size limit on Crappie (no cleaning stations)
Green River Lake - 2hr drive, $5 launch fee, 9" size limit on Crappie (marina has cleaning station)

My home lake is Lake Tawakoni. My dad taught me how to crappie fish on that lake back in the 70's. Once I graduated HS and college I stop fishing until the early 90's. I then bought a Skeeter and started fishing the lake again until my son was born in 1996. I stayed off the Lake until he went to college and bought another boat and started fishing it again in 2014. I have been fishing it ever since. The famous Lake Fork is less than 30 minutes from Tawakoni but I still call it my home lake. It is better known for monster blue catfish and Hybrids but I have learned how to fish for crappie on that lake all times of the year. My second favorite is Lake Lavon which is 40 minutes from my front door. It's a good crappie lake and patterning those fish is not that difficult.

Clarks Hill (Lake Thurmond) that borders South Carolina / Georgia.
Started going with my dad when I was 7 or 8. That's over 50 years.
