My retired buddy Allen and I will be in John Mayo’s boat on Enid!

God Bless all those affected by last nights terrible storm.

The front was over Richmond this morning. Delayed to Atlanta and they cancelled our flight to Memphis. Asked us to have a seat for 5 hours then sent us to Detroit (and I guess Canada). Just barely made the connection to Memphis (thank goodness for those moving walkways). Hertz supplied a cute little Buick SUV and South we went.

Sun was sinking behind the trees as we pulled over by the sign, took a deep breath and once again counted our blessings. It wasn’t hard convincing Allen’s wife that this was a perfect retirement present. In turn he sweet-talked my lovely wife. The rest is histo…… wait…..the story continues in the morning.

Told Slab where we were headed and a package arrived in the male. No sunburned bald spot for me!! Thanks Ed







3”of rain and fast rising water…..not a care in the world come morning. If we have signal I’ll try to update. Grenada on Monday. Not expecting much sleep here in Batesville, Mississippi.
