Have you tried downsizing?
This time of year, we are usually fishing brush piles, but this year is different. The fish seem very scattered and hold in about 15 to 20 feet of water, suspended. We have tried fishing down to them and trolling through them, but nothing seems to work. They must have lock jaw. Today we caught a crappie or 2, 1 largemouth and a couple of spotted bass. The largest was a Spot. 1.74 lbs. Strange thing was that I caught 1 largemouth and 2 spots, including the largest and foul hooked all 3! The largemouth on his left side fin and the two spots under the “chin.” Not IN his mouth but foul hooked below is mouth and back an inch or 2. Water is crystal clear, in the 80’s. Weather has been hot and dry. Any ideas about what we can do? Dock shooting is tough with 2 in the boat.
Shooting with 2 in the boat can be a challenge if the wind and water doesn't cooperate
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
104 degrees all this week, I'm staying home. Summer fishing is tough, no need to burn to a crips for it. Come on cooler weather!

Ive thought about it, but that’s all. I would need to tie up some jigs but haven’t had time. Next major project is almost finished and the forecast for tomorrow is for lots of rain, so maybe tomorrow. I’ve been fishing 1/16 but I will try to get some 1/32 ready. GF
