No Chuck, Take the bolt and nut out of the shaft under the head of the trolling motor. Rotate shaft 180 degrees and put bolt back in.Nose points out the rear of boat that way. I would think this way it would be more efficient than running in reverse. I've never tried facing forward and using reverse.

Haven’t tried them but thinking about it, I know some situations they would help a ton.

My boat is wired for them but I haven’t installed them yet. I have an old factory foot control TM that came on my Pro17 I can mount in the back on left and just use one. May not work as good but we’ll see before buying two transom mounts.

Neighbor is trying only one trolling motor on his aluminum rig. We'll see how it does and report.

Just purchased the power brakes for a 17ft Lowe. Last trip running over fish.

Seems like an awful lot of extra stuff, work and money to catch a Crappie if not a tourney guy.
