Crappie Brakes...Who's Using Them?

Just curious how many Livescopers have added some form of crappie brakes to their boats. My Son and I have been using them since we first got Livescope back in 2019. We were frustrated like everyone else running over our fish before we could catch them. We sure got some funny looks and comments when we would show up at the ramp with our twin trolling motors on the back.
When my son ,Jeff, won the 2021 Wally Marshall Expo he made a video for Bass Tank talking about how he mounted them on his boat. They've really started popping up everywhere since then. There a a few companies making really nice setups for them now.

I have them in the garage. But just haven’t had the time to install them. Running the wiring to the front will be the biggest chore and I have the wiring. Big remodel here at the house and wife keeps adding to the contractors list. Lol. Should be done the end of next week.
I have the same THMarine stomp switch as yours but only 30 lb enduros. My boat is a 1754 Grestliner and I think they should be fine.

Yes Chuck, 30's will work just fine. We run 30's on the big glass boats. The TH Marine button works great.

Centurion, Basically all you're doing is attaching the 2 positives directly to the battery. Then, trying the 2 negatives together and running them to the button up front via a single heavy gauge wire and back to the negative post of the battery. All you're doing is breaking the negative circuit with an On/Off switch. Hope this helps.

Why not us heavy duty relays? With a relay all you need to the front is a small trigger wire.

Just picked up most of the components to install and waiting on the stomp switch currently. Luckily my Lund has a TM plug in for the transom and wil make it easier to install and remove when not using. I’ve ran over more fish like Marshawn Lynch on the goal line! Lol

Yes Chuck, 30's will work just fine. We run 30's on the big glass boats. The TH Marine button works great.

I am going to try a single on the starboard side of the transom first.
I have a ladder on the port side. If one works and doesn’t spin me sideways I stick with 1. Hate to loose my ladder but will if I have to.

Just curious if you point your trolling motors nose forward and use reverse or prop to the front?
Seems like nose forward would cause less resistance.
