I don’t troll, never have and never will, and still like 1/0 single poling.

Don’t know what to tell you, like I said I use pretty much every size between 8-2/0 all year long several days a week depending on what the fish want. I probably literally have 100 different sizes and styles at my bench for pouring jigs and test this stuff all the time. I don’t see much difference in the rate fish stay buttoned up between size 8-1, but once I get to 1/0 and 2/0 I see a huge jump in efficiency of getting fish in the boat. I do see a huge drop in efficiency fishing bigger profile baits on jig hooks smaller than a #2. And that’s disappointing to me because I really like the way some bigger baits move with the small hook versus with a bigger hook in them. But doesn’t do any good to hook them if they don’t stay buttoned up.
