    sunk the float and jig like one
    pulled like one
    told my bud I had a small one on .....
    then this showed up .....
    I suppose in the end a big fat trophy golden shiner is better than no bite at all ......

    Good catch and proof of good skills. Not often those are caught on jigs. I’ve gotten a few in past years, but never many.

    I catch them occasionally on 1/64 oz. beetles and particularly when fishing crickets for bream. They must be a pretty common bait around here.
