It is now past full for the first time in 4 years during which time a near record low was recorded. The lake is unique in some ways as it is a natural lake, but a dam was built on the only outgoing creek. The water is used for agriculture downstream if certain conditions are met with. Also if potential flooding is imminent the outlet is opened to try to control the level. it has been open for 5 days, 6 now,and has been unable to lower the level. The inflow creeks flow had been dropping dramatically before this rain. A major problem is that once the lake goes to flood stage it stays for weeks.

Sorry about my poor writing skills, just amazed by the miracle of the drought ending amount of water God has given us and now people here are justified in worry of flooding shoreline properties and infrastructure.
