    Default NEW TO LIVESCOPE!

Ok.....have a question for you all. I have created my pontoon to be a fishing pontoon, and LOVE IT! It allows my dad plenty of room to move around safely, but also for my kids to fish comfortably, and something for us to swim off of as a family......PERFECT FOR OUR MEMORIES TO BE MADE!

That all being said, I just purchased Livescope. NOW, I also have a 16' Jon down at my dad's house that we use to fish borrow pits, reservoirs, etc. Now, I'm wanting to make this capable to be used by both boats, therefore need to make it portable. I am just looking for ideas on how to mount the transducer to be able to be moved from one boat to another. Im not wanting to mount it on my troller in the first place, and thinking about different ways to mount it (like they do off a kayak). We are ones that can/will create about anything, and like the challenge. BUT, the fishfinder and transducer just got dropped off here at my church office today. I START FISHING IN 2 WEEKS!

What have you all seen? What are you all doing, or using? What are your thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

If you plan on using one set up for 2 boats I would definitely go with a pole for your transducer. You can use a heavy-duty Ram mount and would only have to have a spare knuckle ball for the extra boat. You would have to figure out what to do about the differences in pole height. Check out Greg Finn On Youtube at Camo River Guide Service in Texas. He has an ingenious way he mounted his transducer and pole on his pontoon. As far as the black box and unit just build some kind of a self contained box to move from one boat to another. Tip on Livescope....Don't skimp on power supply. They like good clean, dedicated power not hooked to anything else. Use 10 gauge wire also. Very, very important! Make sure to leave enough slack where needed for the pole to turn without binding up the transducer wiring. And never attach transducer cable to pole with anything besides electrical tape. No zip ties or hose clamps. Hope this helps!
