I do have some of the Power Pro Slick 10 lb in the Moonshine color that I loaded on a spinning rod for casting. I may give braid one more chance with this on my Livescope rods.

The more you use it the better it gets to me. I do keep some mono on the boat for those sub freezing temps. Braid will freeze on those for me. At least when the air temp is in the low 20's

I fish mostly muddy water and I use Hi-Vis lines almost exclusively. My old eyes just can't see clear line well enough to thread rods and tie knots.

4# mono. High vis yellow. Mr. Crappie, Suffix, Vicious. All work well (once I get the spool flipped the correct way!!) I can pull my boat with it sometimes when hung under a dock.

Mono for flipping and casting 4, 6, or 8 pound. Trilene XL in low vis green.
Spider rigging rods I just switched to Fluorocarbon. Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon 8 pound clear. On my spider rigs I started with mono. Mono floats and it was tough to keep the baits vertical under the rod tips unless I ran a lot of weight, or really slow speeds. Switched to Braid. Didn't like the braid. Too strong, hard to cut, shreds, cuts hands and is tough on eyelets. This year I'm running Fluorocarbon as a leader and mono double set rigs. We'll see how it goes.

I really would like to try 10 to 12 lb fluorocarbon but they don't make it in any hi-vis colors that I know of. I want my baits to sink as fast as possible when livescoping.
