    Default March trip

I have off the last week of March and live in Illinois. Looking for suggestions where to fish as I want to maximize the time off and lower dowel prices

I have truck camper and boat

Kentucky lake north has nice campground and covered marina within yards I haven’t been I. Five years as fishing was disappointing last time. This place is set up best for boat dogs camper security and dock fishing under a rod in rain

I overnight camped at Lake blackshear in Georgia last year and it looked great. The surrounding area didn’t seem that secure

Florida is an option but might be too late

Why not go to Rend or Lake of Egypt? Or Truman in Missouri

If you want to stay close to home I would go to Rend or Shelbyville. If your wanting to go somewhere a lil warmer I would head to Alabama & try either Weiss or Neely Henry.

I settled on Kentucky lake again the boat parking is great covered dock with outlets and locker and fishing cleaning station and dock fishing day and night all in site of camper
I would love Shelbyville but none of their campgrounds open until mid April

Rend is good but I have been blown off the lake in many weekend trips and it seems to flood this time of year
Kentucky lake is six hours away I can leave home set up camp and still fish that day

I think you have made a good choice. I haven't been there for a few years but have done decent there. I mostly fished the Johnathan Creek area. I would like to give Barkley a try sometime. Good luck to you !! Put some slabs in the boat !!

My brothers and I will be headed down that way too 3/25 - 4/1. Staying at a resort close to blood.
If you cast it they will come.
