Danny congratulations on ordering the new ride. Trust me your back & knees will love the recessed trolling motor tray.

    What did you get??
I was at Cabelas in Louisville last week and live 10 minutes from Bass Pro here in Clarksville, In.
I’m thinking they have a few boats in stock.
    Nothing close to you?
    What’s the wait time?

today I got my boat, picked it up around 5 pm a 175 tracker tow with a 75 hp mercury, man it feels good to own a boat again instead of begging friends to take you. Really ready to mount my livescope setup on it also, l bought it on Black Friday sale. READY to fish.

A friend got a brand new Tracker last year and my buddy was putting him in for the maiden trip. Same ramp I put in at today…
Anyway it’s really not a super steep ramp.
    You know what coming.
Rusty the owner in the boat and as my buddy was backing down the ramp he braked. Brand new boat slid half off trailer and sitting on skeg with nose up in the air. After winching the boat back down the only damage was a broken skeg.
Just watch out the first few times you launch because it may be a tracker thing. My buddy said he didn’t brake very hard but who knows.
    Just a little heads up.

I usually loosen the winch about 1.5 turns so there's a little slack and then back the boat until the wheels are wet. Then hop in and start the motor, walk up and unhook the latch, then have buddy back in rest of the way and dump me off. Can do the same thing by waiting for back of boat to float if alone.

Motor has never once not started so i dont know why I do this, just a habit from fishing rivers I suppose. The whole dont unhook untill in the water part came from duck hunting, I've seen many boats slide right off onto the ramp because the bunks were frozen up.

    Congratulations again.
I’m sure you know what you are doing but just didn’t want the same thing to happen to anyone else in case it was a new tracker thing.
Post pictures when you can. We all love seeing new boats and fish!!
I have a routine that I follow every time.
Be safe and always wear your PFD.

I’ve been hesitant to reply to this thread, but I have the same boat and I can promise you that if you take the strap off before you are in the water, it will tear something up!
My very first time unloading my Brand New Tracker 175 TXW, buddy tapped the brake going down the ramp and luckily I was close enough to the water ( motor still up ) and it came off the trailer before we new it! Scraped the skep but no major damage. May have taken a 1/4” off of it. I asked the salesman about it and he stated that these boats have one of the best clear coats on the market! I believe him. My boat has been thru some tough stuff ( ran it up on an underwater stump )!

Don’t unhook until you are ready to start your motor!

I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine.

thank you fellows for the information about the boat, I will not unhook the latch until it’s on the water, thank you again I paid way to much for this boat to damage it at the boat landing.
