Sorry for your loss. They are loyal family members.
Well last evening Augustus my best fishing buddy and companion for the last nineteen years, yep 19, left to go fishing without me for the very first time, there are no words.... but so thankful for the memories that we shared together, so blessed for the much extended time that we got, I know the last few years were a bonus, spent in overtime, he did what he could do to keep going and did a fine good job of it. Augustus absolutely love to go to fishing on the dock, when he would get there you could see him pick up an extra bounce in his step and a sparkle in his eyes, there was never no doubt he thought the dock was his and anyone else was just visiting. Oh I could go on forever as I'm sure many of you all could as well about your own beloved one, and I truly appreciate this forum for me to express my thoughts and memories with people who know what it's like.
Love and miss you Augustus... you find us a good fishing spot and I'll be along when it's time.

Sorry for your loss,
I've got three similar fishing friends, they are the best as they never complain about the day.
