Default Who Misses An Old Fishing Partner? Friend or Pet

It's a cold rainy night here in West Central Arkansas and I'm building a warm fire in the fireplace. My thoughts drifted off to my old fishing buddy that passed away 6 years ago. Abbie was with me every time the boat left the house. You couldn't get her to get out of the truck at the house when I was hooking up the boat. As I put some new flowers on her grave the other day she's been in my thoughts lately. How many miss old fishing partners or family members that have passed on?

A good fishing buddy of mine has Parkinson’s.
He’s progressed to where he’s in an assisted living home .
    Really sad .
He was always ready to go when I called .

Nothing I wouldn’t give to fish with my dad again. Think of him daily.

My current fishing buddy's younger bro was my previous main fishing buddy, and most times it was the three of us ... "going on an adventure". It's obviously on my mind often, as it is on his, that it's great for both of us to still be going fishing together ... just a little less so than what it used to be.

I love fishing with Billbob. We haven't been out in a few years. Always something getting in the way.

so many have gone this way or that over the years , countless to be sure , my grandpa possibly the most , my pappy too , then the list goes on and on , had a really good buddy that went with me thru thick and thin back when , he was the best dog friend ever as a kids companion. super security on steroids was that pup and ready to go and do whatever my heart desired , we both got into more trouble than you can possibly imagine on our adventures ....
try not to think about all the losses is me , will make me sad

I really wish I could go minnow fishing with dad one more time. I miss his wisdom everyday. My most recent fishing buddy moved to the land of cheese. I miss pounding the banks with him during the sand bass run. I fish mostly by myself now but I find being on the water is a calming experience.
