After being on my feet from before they opened until late afternoon all 4 days, I’m spent. I made the decision to drive the hour and forty minutes back and forth each day. I prefer my bed to any hotel bed.
The Grizzly Jig show is different than most shows I’ve worked. All the merchandise there is owned by the store and companies are just there to represent their brands and to meet those who use their products. I talked to hundreds of folks, many of them Crappie.com members.
I am blessed with many great sponsors and was there to help 3:
Cornfield Fishing Gear
ACC Crappie Stix
Crappie Monster
The willingness of those at the top of the crappie community to take time to stop for photos, talk to customers, and spend time with those who might represent a competitor, makes crappie fishermen unique in my experience. I got to talk to so many great tournament pros who have influenced me, both old and new.
To the Crappie.com members who introduced themselves during our conversations, it was great meeting you or seeing you again.
Back to the reel world.

That's a lot of standing, I could not do it. Good for you Doug, sounds like a great show. Maybe I go for a day or so, but four days too long for this guy's bad back.
