Question for Lowrance Users for Mapping

I am using a Lowrance Elite FS 7 inch for mapping my brushpiles, stumps, and stakebeds. It's mounted in the front of my boat so I can go from one waypoint to the next. Right now it puts a short trail behind my boat icon as I troll around in areas where I have several close waypoints. This clutters up my screen to where I can't see my close by icons.
I've got the manual out but I can't figure out how to turn off the trails feature on maps. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to waypoints, trails, and routes. Touch trails from there it should give you the option to turn trails off. That should be close on most elites.
