Acc crappie sticks

I had one only used it twice ! Didn’t like it at all.
everybody has a different feel.
if I was you and if at all possible I’d put one in my hand before you buy just to make sure it suits you.
i have bought many rods in the past just because this or that one said they like it and get it and not like it.
so now I will not purchase a rod unless I can put it in my hand first to see how it feels to me!

Also doesn't hurt to have the reel you intend on fishing on it. They feel very much different with and without a reel. Acc has a list of recommended reels for each rod that makes them balance well.

I've got two 13ft Crossovers, a 6fter, and dad has an 8fter and 11fter. I've beat the crap out of my 13fters and theyre still going. Love them, but there's a few rods from Southern Crappie Rods about to come out that will make my ACCs collect dust,

Really like my 7ft spin rod. Very happy with it. However, it has since been replaced by my BnM TCB rod, which is much more sensitive. ACC is now my backup rod.

I don't have any information about the ACC crappie rods, but thought I'd add one that I highly recommend if the original poster is open to suggestions. I won a Denali Pryme 6'9" UL rod in some sort of contest (I don't even remember how/what) and I really love the rod, so much so that I'm purchasing another soon even though I have at least half a dozen similar models from other manufacturers. I think it retails for $59 and it's worth every penny in my opinion and is nice for dock shooting or casting.

i've had several of them. they feel great in my hand, however i broke 3 tips on hooksets. ended up selling them all. i will say when you call them about a broken tip you will have a replacement in short order. customer service is outstanding. im pretty much a denalli guy. there light enough but have tremendous backbone on are bulletproof

Breakage like you experienced is very common with those ACC rods. I have read about it here, several other groups, and know several people here locally that have all had similar experiences. One friend tried to warranty one that broke just trying to fight a small catfish and they wouldn’t stand behind it. Told him he should have cut is line. I still have the screenshot from their customer service department, one of the worst looks from a rod company ever. “Cut your line if you hook a big one” would make for a great slogan.

I ordered 4 14 footers to use for spider rigging. Put one together and they are far lighter in weight than my Southern Crappie rods. Will give them a go later on and see how it goes. They did include a extra tip at no charge.

My 6.6 broke about 6 inches above the top of reel seat area. That should be the strongest part of the rod. Since it was about 16 months old it was Sorry Charlie!!
I was setting the hook on a 9 inch crappie.

I have been hung up with the rod bent in half with my BnM 14 footers.
Had to pry out of rod holder.
BnM rods are tough.
