Default Bobber selection for 1/32 and 1/48 jigs

The smallest slip bobber I could find are the small thill pro series slip floats. Problem is...with a 1/32 or 1/48 jughead, I still have to add a split shot to the line above the jig in order to make the bobber sit properly instead of just laying flat.

You will probably have to order you some on line !
I use the comal cigar floats I like the 1 1/2” for 32nd and smaller usually can get them for about $30-$35 shipped per 100

Thill Stealth is the lowest profile float I've seen, although they've been discontinued. Even still with jigs lighter than 1/32 I had trouble even getting them to pull the line through the float.

These are the ones I use also. I go with as small of float I can get away with. A 1/48 jig is really small and you may have to use a fixed float with it. I am not sure it has enough weight to pull thru a slip float.

tiny jigs dont slip well in slip floats unless you downsize the line to about nada ,2 or 4 lb might do it

Will a 1/48 even sink on it own? or for topwater crappie fishing?

I fish a lot of 1/48, thell slip through if you use a limp 2-4lb line. Cant make a long cast though or they wont slip. To be honest I mostly use two of them under a slip float, or a tiny split shot above one just to make it easier on my sanity
