Rarely use minnows, but when I do I use a #4 Aberdeen bronze hook (probably Eagle Claw brand).

i attach the snelled hook to swivel. With my weight above the swivel. So coming up from the hook, is hook, snelled leader, swivel, lead on main line, slip cork, tied bobber stop. I just poke the snelled loop thru the bottom of the swivel, push the hook thru the loop and pull tight.Quote:
Do you attach to a swivel? Or directly to a line?

Eagle Claw 214 EL in #2 and powder painted to the bend ...

BTW ... Eagle Claw 214EL can easily be bent into the “tru turn” shape without compromising the integrity of the hook strength ...
Just bend ‘em before powder coating ...
Rickie
ps ... I promise the hook will no longer be “sharpen-able” before the paint wears off ...
Rickie
This may be a stupid question, but why do you paint the hook to the bend?
