Default Mr. Crappie camo vs McCoy Mean Green vs CrappieMax camo

I have some McCoy or order because of things I've read about it. I've had limited experience with Mr. Crappie, and I've used the BPS CrappieMax line a few times.

The CrappieMax is actually really nice and limp. The Mr. Crappie seems a tad bit more stiff.

How does the McCoy line compare, and please add any thoughts you might have.

I tend to not leave mono line on my ultralights for more than a month to minimize it developing memory while wound around the spool.

My ultralights, I use 4lb. My light rigs I use 6lb. On my tightline rigs, I use 8lb Hercules no fade braid regardless of ultralight or light.

All I use is Mr Crappie Camo because it takes 15+ pounds of pull to break 10# test. It is stiffer than others but about the same diameter per pound. I personally like the stiffer because it doesn't wrap the tip-top as bad in the wind as others. The Camo works too.

I got the 4lb/test, so I'm sure it'll be fairly limp line....how's the knot strength?

I know the McCoy in bass fishing sizes is some pretty good line from what i've saw from a buddy that uses it. I use p line cxx xtra strong but would have no problem spooling with McCoy.

I've used P-Line CX in 12, 8, and 6lb. The 12 can get a tad wirey, but the 6lb is magic on a small ultralight spinning reel.

The Uni Knot strength is so good I only tie 2-3 wraps. Personally I want the Knot to break not the line leaving extra monofilament in the water. I net my big fish and don't use mono if I have to "Boom Up" Crappie to keep for getting wrapped around a submerged limb. So I will say very good. Also I do use 4# casting open water with a 1/16oz jighead and fine it enjoyable to fish with.

I’m using Mr Crappie camo in 4 lb and it seems to be some good stuff.
