It is just a trooper , one pull start every time, idles like a kitten purring , never been tuned up and been run without oil a year or so as well
Don’t smoke and don’t get hot and is a fun ride
One rear axle is bent and it still hauls hiney when pushing it , been the source of entertainment and transport in the field for just a many moons , one fella tried to trade a nice rifle for it about 10 years ago and H said nope . H donated it to the farm a few years ago and we run it for fun and a bit of work here and there .

On a side note , that guy in the dozer is the BEST money can buy , known him and had him do work for me since 2006 and never seen anyone run a big dozer as good as him , he can flat out carve a fine line with it and leave a place looking like WOW , built me several really nice ponds and one small lake , he is just the bomb , if I say save a certain tree , in the middle of a mess , it will be standing all alone and happy when he leaves

Some guys are artists in their own way. To be delicate with a huge piece of machinery is a real skill.

I won't be able to do any crappie fishing until after January 23rd, as I must spend the week after this in St. Louis and this week preparing for the trip.

You shouldn't have bought that ranch, it takes too much of your time away from crappie fishing. And I shouldn't have got back into real estate investing for the same reason. I thought investing would only take a few hours a week of my time. Shows how dumb I was. Or maybe I was just too senile to remember how much work and time it took. What's your excuse?

mine was simple, hunt somewhere on someone else's place by their rules and regs. and be on the first to go list if anything goes south , coupled with developing a wildlife friendly spot for my friends and family to enjoy made my choice fairly simple once the cash to do it was in hand.
knew full well it was going to be a workshop full time once we owned it , but so far it has been worth the time and money and even turned into a great investment as well, could likely sell it if it had to happen for about 4 times what it cost me to get it 5 years ago.

I tagged 2 young pecans about right in the middle of his path of destruction and both are standing pretty as can be seen, right in a smooth dirt all around them path.
He really is a dirt artist , one tank/pond he built back when had a huge cedar elm in a spot that needed to be cleared and I asked if he could spare it and he said I think yes but it might not survive the cutting around its base , to this day it thrives on the shallow end of that pond
