    Hey Ship
Any idea how many of these it will take to hold up a 1/16 jig with plastic?
I have no way to test before fishing.
It will be spring before I have my test tank open. Aka swimming pool. Curiosity. How many fish are really near the bottom? Photo.
    Thanks
    Chuck.

You can test your set up in a five gallon bucket of water. I am thinking two will support your jig.

Do like I do. Test in a bucket or a fish tank and keep note or a drawing of what worked for you. I just posted another You Tube video of what is working for me with my soft plastic minnow and the imitation Wax Worms. https://www.crappie.com/crappie/diy-...k-snake-river/

I targeting deeper fish from now on.

Instead of using rubber stopper, you can use a basic plastic bead. Just run the line through it twice in the same direction. (Go through one end, then wrap around the bead and go through the same direction again) this is how a lindy rig is typically made, the bead doesnt move until you slack your wraps and move it, and the float hitting the bead makes a small noise for attraction. I have a bunch of these rigs that are older than I am

The pre tied ones only have the line through the bead once so the float runs up to the hook and minnow. Just put it through again like I said to peg it. Or if you do not want it to move at all you can stick a toothpick in the float.

They used to sell the rigs all made up for the sliding sinkers, called Lindy rigs.
Also sold an air injector for the nitecrawlers so they would suspend off the bottom.
Back then they werent using floats.

I love your idea and your input. I am switching the little rubber stop to your idea of a small bead. Thank you my friend. You have taught this fellow another trick. Here is my new drawing of the concept.
