I've got a box full of rapala ultra lights that look about the same size...trolling or casting they catch everything that swims in the lake!!!

I really enjoy a good crankbait trip, especially with kids. But, I always seem to get hooked. Sometimes bad enough to have to do the string trick to remove the hook!

So here in lies the question …..
Why would anyone need more than one rod at a time ?

When they want to troll or spider rig. Neither one works very well with just one rod in the water and am trying to cover a body of water.

But normally all I use is one rod, since I mainly jig or cast.

This is why I am going to replace the treble hooks with a single hook. Treble hooks catch me or my net more than they catch fish.

I could have two dozen rods sticking out my boat and not catch as much as he does. And since I've made many a fishing trip with him I know he catches them. Occasionally I've had to ask him to leave one or two for me to catch.
