How do you pay without using paypal? I'm ready to pay a membership and make a small donation. I do not have a PayPal account and prefer not to use it.

I am a notoriously cheap guy. I don't buy apps. look for free programs and such things. But I DO support this site. The family here is what helps me learn to catch crappie and helps me deal when I don't. . Please, anyone who can make the small effort to help keep it going, do so. It is worth more in knowledge and friendship than that Starbucks latte My thanks to Slab and all the mods who keep it a safe and friendly place.

This is the part I appreciate most. Unlike another large state fishing forum that I used in the past you don't see hateful posts nor attacks here. It takes time and effort to moderate a site so I do appreciate those who do such a good job of moderation on this site.

Geez, how on Earth did I miss this thread. I'm not "G" I guess. David woulda seen every post. I was wondering why donations and supporters were up. Thanks Danny, and what you say is true. I don't make a living off this site, wifey makes the bucks, and I just coast off her. Anyway, that's another story, her job just ruined our Christmas, kinda. Her servers were hacked by communist ruskies, and she had to work through Christmas. She did not attend our Christmas dinner with my 92 year old mom, I had to run a plate back over to our house where she was working. Heck, she's still working though all the issues the hack caused. It's crazy.

Things on the Internet have changed. Affiliate programs and Advertising commissions have just about dried up. The percentages shared to publishers like crappie.com have gone down, way down from the amount mentioned above (FYI). I've seen a lot over time, there used to be reasonable revenue sharing with these companies, and I've seen it change dramatically. It's like a ten fold drop in revenue. I have the data. Essentially after the big boys established their monopolies they got real greedy, and they changed their algorithms so they only share a fraction of what they used to with publishers like crappie.com.

This is not a sob story. But it's a success story. This site is awesome. The members, moderators, are some of the best people on the planet. Slabsauce has been a success, wifeys new mugs are doing awesome. And most importantly we're all having good clean fun. None of the personal attacks taking place everywhere else. Gotta love it, and we all know that this is the only way to roll in this short life. So it really is a success story. No worries about me, just tell your friends about our lovely family friendly site is all I ask. Thank each and every one of you for your participation here. Crappie.com rocks.
