Very nicely done with those jigs. I myself have never used a pill type head. Those look very fishy
Black cats, broken mirrors, ladders, black eyed peas , resolutions and etc etc etc are all classified as superstitions basically and even though I joke around about my lucky this and that and my horoscope and the salt I spilled and etc ....
I was taught they have nothing to do with my “luck”, being raised in a house by someone with a major in psychology had it ups and downs for sure

Some superstitions can be very helpful. Such as what you do on New Year's day is what you will be doing for the rest of the year. It has made it possible for me to go fishing on New Year's day for 53 years now. So I firmly believe in this superstition.
Those jig heads look as they would be difficult to paint. Like Pepop's handtied jigs, I would be hesitate to fish them where and how I fish, as I would knock the paint off them and be unhappy about it. Sometimes jigs look too nice to risk in the water.

Any day I'm fishing is a good day, regardless of what I catch.

They aren't hard to paint, average time to paint one is 15 seconds and the baking creates the swirl and scale effects. I mix my own paints and the extra additives I use is the reason I can do this. The painted head holds up very well, really hard finish. I tested the hardness casting a bass jig against a concrete wall hard on purpose a half dozen times and only the top layer had chipped. Most of these have several layers of paint.
You do a beautiful job.
But you haven't seen me casting under docks and bridge pillars. It's rare a painted jig head keeps it pristine look more than a day with my fishing. And as Ketchn says, I lose them on a regular basis in the brush piles, for if you aren't in the middle of the brush pile or submerged tree, you aren't catching the bigger crappie. I do cheat and use 20 lb braid instead of that skinny 6 lb line he uses so I don't lose as many as he does.
