Default Our family New Years Eve celebration

Went like this , no alcohol involved , no fancy party , no fireworks ....EXCEPT for the family time spent ....
doing what we enjoy and of course that is some .....
    get ready for it ....
    here it comes ....
    K A B O O M .....
Went to my friend's place to avoid the hustle and bustle of town and the public on other open to the public spots.
Found them all on the bottom and biting VERY lightly, all moved deep , none were in shallow water and the wind blew like a hurricane out there and made it quite the challenge to ketch fish . 1/32 in the wind is mighty tough to stay in touch with.
Decided to box anything you could eat for a person we know in need of groceries. The fish box had a good mess in it , bluegill , red ear , crappie , bass and a hybrid sunfish as well .
Lost a few , gained a few , and watched herds of deer out in the pastures in that area right before dark when we left.
one buck in particular got to visit with me and the Nikon a bit before he didn't care for any more of it .
Was really fun to end the year like that ...
    Happy New Years to everyone
p.s. ketch of the day was an actual minnow mini KABOOM managed to haul up from the bottom ....it got released to go back to doing what minnows do AND yes the Crappie.com ballcap got to go with me too ! ...

H should be able to get them a pig or three on your place. That gives him a perfect excuse to do what he loves to do. Although I never could understand how somebody could turn down a fishing trip to go hunting.

Fun times for sure. Great way to bring in the new year. And good job with keeping the fish for someone in need.
