Orange Crush

Tried to ketch a few on lunch break , a few being the keywords here ....
kinda figured it would be tough and sure enough it was .
Shad on the surface out away from the dock and the sky all gloomy and overcast , not desirable conditions to say the least if you are on the dock ....
very few takers and the fish were not near any spots that produced the last visit either .
tried multiple offerings and the only version that ketched crappie was the Orange Crush.
Right side up was the preference this go as well ...just saying
Missed a few bites and hung one that was likely the real deal , but lost it ....
such is the dilemma of standing on the dock , when they are likely not there in numbers
without the eye in the water to see what was up under me , i went on my way
back some other day next week in more favorable conditions to see if my luck will change .
such was my lunch break and of course some always beats none in crappie lip poking
very little KABOOM was the word ....
p.s. all lip hooked , not a fish one had any heart in the takes either ....
