So the rule of thumb with any battery is that its dead when it reaches its labeled voltage. 12v batteries are full around 14v, after rested with no drain they settle around 13 +/-, when they read 12v they're 0% though many items could still work below 12v.
AA and AAA are 1.5v batteries. If you meter them and they read 1.5, they're trash.

I found the mount at the GPS store for $56.95:

    The power cable is $26.95:

With tax and shipping, it's a over $100. I'm going to check some other sources, maybe eBay or marketplace, but that $100 could go toward a 2nd unit. Would love to find a used 93SV or even a 73SV if the price is right. I saw one a while back for $300, but missed the deal. I just need to be patient, and another one will probably pop up.
Be careful with the cradle idea, one broke pin and you are sending it to garmin for repair (warranty doesn't cover).

I would suggest watching for a used 93 plus, ive seen them go for as low as $350 on here.

Or if you must move unit, use something like a ram mount and move the whole thing, unhooking power/ducer from cradle each time.

Yep i'd put a complete setup at both spots minus the 93 sv that way you can just move from one setup to the other. When you can afford it better you can then buy another used 93 sv to use with the bow setup or just buy a bigger unit & cradle & put it up front.

I went out today and ran Livescope for 3 hours set up at 24V. Starting voltage was 25.6V. After 3 hours of use, and then sitting in 19 degree temps for 6 hours, the batteries tested out at 24.6V before recharging.

I'm not 100% sure, but the Livescope seemed to read more sharply in the 24V configuration. I was able to watch my 1/16 ounce jig in 35' of water, and pick off some fish from the schools. The water has dropped 11 degrees this week, and there was some ice on the water. Normally, I wouldn't fish these conditions, but I was able to find and catch fish. I'm thrilled. Here are some pics:

    UPDATE:

Sorry it's been so long, but I finally got the boat out. Due to the crazy cold weather, we had to dodge the sheet ice that covered much of the lake.

I ran the livescope the whole time and started at 10:30 AM and fished until 4:30 PM, almost exactly 6 hours.
I used (2) of the 9AH AGM batteries wired to 24V.

It worked great, but I noticed that during the last hour, we had a hard time seeing our lures at any distance, but we could still see the fish clearly. I thought that was curious and a little worrysome, but when I got home, both batteries were at 11.4V. Duh... I should have swapped batteries, but now I know.

So in real-world application, the livescope system will run 5 hours on two of the little 9AH AGM batteries. I suspect that if I separated them, I would only get 2 hours per battery run as a single.

I just thought I would post this information for any who are interested.
Thanks Slab thanked you for this post
