1/16oz ballhead w/#2 Aberdeen (weedless) for casting single jig to wood cover. As far as the weedguard goes, I prefer the Y shaped plastic style guard (clear), but the brush style is acceptable (clear or black). If I could get the 1/16oz w/#2 hook and the Y shaped weedguard, I'd take 200 of them right now. (no interest in the brush style at the moment)

As far as open hook jigheads ... I've got a ton of those in multiple sizes, so no interest there, either.

First crappie I ever caught I was fishing for bass and got it on a 1/4oz jig and a 2" augertail, not a clue about the hook. Best for me since getting into crappie has been 1/16th oz jig and I think their 1" or maybe 1 1/2" auger tails. Again no idea the hook size!

1/16 probably 90% of the time with either #4 or #6 hook. The other 10% is split between 1/8 and 1/32 depending on conditions of the day.

1/32 about 85% of the time, 1/16 for the balance.
