Default Introduction, SLAB pics and questions about this forum.

    Hey all, Nate Pressotto here.

Thanks for having me. I look forward to sharing my experiences with you and potentially picking up a thing or two from observing yours.

While Michigan is not know for its giant slabs, some of us here do enjoy chasing them and even landing a few.. That brings me to my first question about this forum and my main reason for joining. I am interested in regional based crappie discussion. While the book of faces and other forums do have many groups for MI panfish and other species, there is not a great outlet to discuss specifically MI Crappie. I already observed that there are sub forums here for each state.. My question is would those state sub forums be a good place for general discussion, reports, tips and talk or is that best done in this main forum leaving location less relevant? From what I observed of the sub forums it appears as they are more for coordinating events/meet ups ect..?

Next question. What is the forums policy on promotion/advertising? I am sponsored by a few MI bait and jig companies and fish exclusively their products for crappie / panfish. Is it OK to share here which baits/products I was using with my catch reports? Some groups encourage it, others restrict promotion of products to paid sponsors..

Next question.. Anyone here slabbing in the mitten!?

I think that's all I have for now.. On to the fish pics! Lol.. 14" is a Master angler in MI and while I know that's no giant in the south those are pretty good fish here.. I typically land 10+ MA fish a season and look forward to sharing them with you. I'm not about to scroll deep in the phone to find them all but here's some catch content in the recent selection from my gallery.. My MI PB is still just 16" and I'm forever on the hunt for a 17+..

I look forward to meeting / sharing with you all and hope you have nothing but success on all of your upcoming outtings..

    Tight lines and heavy thumps,

    Nate

Ps. After attaching photos I have another question.. is there a way to select multiple photos at once or must they all be searched, selected, uploaded individually then repeat for the next? Ty in advance

    to Crappie.com !!!

You might want to download the (free) Crappie.com app if you intend to post multiple pics in one post (from your phone gallery).

The "RULES" are posted on this page : https://www.crappie.com/crappie/main...rules-conduct/

As far as "where" you post .... that's entirely up to you. Main Message forum or MI forum, or both. Make use of any and all forums with respect to their individual subjects.

*Note : videos posted are subject to removal if there's cursing heard in the audio. Either edit it out or just don't post it. (same goes for regular posts, even if the word is misspelled or symbols (*#@^) are used for some of the letters in the word. We edit in accordance with how the word sounds if read aloud, not how it's spelled.) Same goes for any memes pulled from the web.
This is a public forum, so not everyone reading posts are members. With that in mind, be discreet in what the background is in your pictures (unless you want "meathogs" swarming your hotspots).

    Thanks pappy!

    Rules page read, app installed.

After reading the rules post I believe I understand the policy on promotion.. that said while it is clear not to tag and mention companies often ill have a pack of baits in photos that I take of my catch.. there's an example in my original post here.. is that acceptable or negative? If not obviously feel free to remove the photo..

Thanks and for your response/ assistance..

    Nate
