Default St. Croix Panfish rod. What length?

What length would be your preference for a SC Panfish rod? I primarily bank fish. I'm thinking the 70LXF with a Daiwa Fuego 1000. Thoughts?

My favorite SC is the 66lf. I handled it a few years back and it’s been on my want list ever since. My problem is finding one. Hard to find on the rack.

This is a serious question. And I mean no disrespect. What makes St. Croix rods so sought after. If this derails this thread my apologies. I don't own one and I have got know what I am missing.

the prestige of owning one is my thoughts on St. Croix without being to terribly disrespectful , of course it is to each his own and lots of folks swear by them.
Lots of rods out there are in the same league in my opinion at half the cost ....

We have a SC panfish 7 ft, I traded for, paired with a Pflueger supreme 30, Ladybear uses mostly and loves it. Guy I got it from did not feel it was sensitive enough but with8-2 powerpro braid you can almost feel them look at the jig. So think you are on the right track.

I've got that same rod with a 1000 size reel. It's my favorite combo.

All of them are too "whippy" for my preferences

@catchNgrease, I live in N.IL and fish a great deal in WI. SC rods (Avid and up) are made in WI. I like supporting American Made products when I can. I also believe that SC rods are some of the best finished most
sensitive rods you can buy. They are available from $ 100.00-600.00 so there is something for everyone. I'm not knocking other rod companies as I also have Dobyns, and G Loomis rods too.
