    I have found this to be true when fishing with Livescope and pitching/casting to fish. Slowly act like your taking the jig from the fish and you will have a better chance of hooking up.
    Exactly what I do…..limited out this afternoon with this method…

    I lake a long stiff rod,of all the Rods I have, and tried I have settled on a Denali 16 foot trolling rod and fish most the time with a quarter ounce jig it will swing a pound and a half Crappie no nets, yes it heavy but 81 year old it my choice.

    I like my ACC Crappie Stix rod. They make one long enough to meet your requirements.
    I like my BnM Tree Thumper too but it's a 10 footer.
