    Default Fall Crappie migration

I believe deer will rut regardless if temp stayed above 100 degrees. No doubt, I know the rut intensifies during daylight hours with colder weather and moisture sure doesnt hurt
I also know Turkeys gobble by amt of daylight hours which also triggers Rut in deer. High pressure and good weather intensifies gobbling
Now that you hav gone around the block with me, does amt of daylight hours affect the Fall ‘migration’ pattern in Crappie as much as cooler weather and dropping water temp?

I am sure it does but specifically how I am not sure. Right now we found Crappie following and feeding on shad balls in preparation for the winter months. Find the shad find the Crappie.

Agreed with buckeye crappie follow the food and you will find them. I know for me personally I like to utilize the lunar feeding charts in my trips.

Best I know crappie begin to school up and start eating more to gain weight for the winter. They will start to follow minnows and shad so find there food to find the crappie during fall.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Considering I only get to go once to twice a month at best I chose to only go when the lunar feeding chart is predicting high feeding activity. I have backlogged using the app I like for this on other successful trips that I have had and they have always read high activity. I have also back logged days I didn’t do so well using the same methods and have shown low feeding predictions. On days that I have gone with a high reading I have always seen large amounts of bait fish activity with crappie chasing. Not sure if I would believe every chart out there but I will attach the link to the one I like using. Sorry for the lengthy answer but I take learning the sport of fishing with much joy and passion.

I appreciate it (it wasn't too long ha). I have been using Windy app so I can tell how strong the wind constant/gusts are per hour and the lunar cycle is. I haven't been good at catching yet but I have downloaded it. Thanks!

Temperature plays a way bigger part in a fish's migration. They are cold blooded. But one of the biggest factors that play a part on cooler water temps and the moment of baitfish is lack of sunlight caused by shorter daylight light hours. So yeah it does affect that.
