One thing you said is you don't understand the economics that drive the tourneys. I don't either, but it has got to be there. Millions of dollars in equipment show up to fish in them. Somebody making money. I do agree that Joe may not want to pay the time ,energy and dollars the elite guys put into their tournaments, but there are plenty of tournaments he can fish in. Because of guys like these, this is why I like watching the tournament where the officiator is on the boat and they use calibrated scales. The Ref keeps track of time, weight and any penalties. It takes things like, dog kennels full of fish, fish being delivered and stuffing fish out of the equation. Of course this is an expensive cost to the organizer, so is idiots who cheat to get paid. Like I said in my post "Greed makes man go places they wish they hadn't."

WELL SAID! THERE SHOULD BE PERMANENT DISQUALIFICATION FOR PEOPLE WHO PUT WEIGHTS AND FISH FILETS IN THE BELLY OF FISH TO INCREASE THEIR WEIGHTS! You are supposed to be honest folks. Give them felony charges and prison time!
