I understand the need to win in order to maintain one's income in the sport. It is still a shame one has to set aside their integrity to do so.

I think it’s just nature of some individuals. Even before the money there were those willing to cheat. It really is a shame and sad to see.

Shame on them. Imagine being one of their sponsors & what comes back on them. Add the chance to win money to fishing and it brings out the worst in some people.

A major player in the crappie tournament game got busted in 2019. He had won tens of thousands of $$ over his career. Many suspected his cheating for years. He got busted for fishing a lake that was off limits during a national championship.

learned that a long time ago in a bowling league. I stay away from competitive events because of it.
