No clue. I caught a 1.60 yesterday, weighed him after my buddy was floored I was about to just drop him back, and said "Need 7 just like him or better, preferably with a kicker, next weekend..."....and my buddy was floored I didn't bother to even take a pic. Usually don't pull the scale out now unless they're close to 2, in a tourny sorting/culling, or someone with me asks.

That mark is around 14" on a fat, well fed female black in March, 15" most other fish in the winter, and mid to upper 15" fish the rest of the year.

On the C.O.E. lakes it has to be over 12" to be a legal fish so anything over 12" is a slab .

It all depends on who i’m lying to, ah I meant i’m bragging to. You know they all get bigger to your friends when they didn’t see um. But 14” up i’ll call a slab and not feel bad about it. Mississippian here

WOWSERS! Biggest I have ever seen was a 17.5" out of the Ohio River. (that was Big Daddy (Carl) Chaunc). I spoke to a guy last Friday at the ramp and he caught an 18 3/4' at Nimisila a couple years ago. He threw it back. (bass fisherman).
